Hawthorne House is one-of-a-kind intimate wedding & private events venue located in a historically designated Victorian mansion in the heart of Montrose. The house has a Texas Historic Marker as well as a coveted position on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1905 in the Westmoreland District, the venue is conveniently located near many bars, restaurants, and attractions, and is only minutes from downtown Houston.

 

Homeowners Chris and John opened their estate for intimate events in 2022 after lovingly restoring the charismatic 3-story home and building a new addition. Our venue is best suited for people who dream of having a special intimate ceremony or event -- without paying a fortune.

 

We are committed to helping you stay within your budget while never compromising on style. Therefore, our venue pricing is a flat fee for exclusive use of our property, without any surprises, spending minimums, or hidden gratuities. Our venue is flexible to accommodate any vendors you would like to use for your event, or we can provide REFERRALS if desired. Our goal is to help you host your dream wedding, celebration, or event that is simple, straightforward, and stress-free for you.

 

Intimate weddings and private events at Hawthorne House can enjoy up to 7,000 sq. ft. of open space for guests to experience food, drinks, socializing, and dancing. The backyard is equipped with outdoor speakers and a Bluetooth receiver for easy connection to your playlist. The distinctive styling of the venue embraces the potential to provide countless special spaces for perfect photography sessions.
